The acronym ADD means Attention Deficit Disorder. A mental disorder that is common to children is ranging between three to five percent of the children. This is generally occurs in early child hood and it is common to boys than girls. People with ADD can only do single commands. Social dysfunction may also be experience in school, with friends and with family. Attention Deficit Disorder has also been referred to minimal brain dysfunction. So how can you cure ADD?

Children with ADD show many degrees of inattention, which means these people have difficulty keeping their minds on one thing. They can easily be bored especially with school assignments, easily make mistakes and they are having trouble listening to anyone. The good thing about children with ADD, they can do unusual and interesting tasks or things. A good example is, I have known one kid that has Attention Deficit Disorder can able to memorize one book in two days.

Currently, scientists say that there is no actual way to cure ADD. However, few methods might cure ADD. Doctor's Prescribed medicines are the common treatment for Attention Deficit Disorder. Examples of such medicines are Ritalin, Dexedrine or DextroStat and Cylert.

Children with ADD need more medication than the adults because the possibility of being cured at an early age is possible compare to an older person. Drugs only relieve symptoms of ADD, which usually return when medication is discontinued. This means drugs can stop the problem ADD for a while then it will come back.

Many children with Attention Deficit Disorder continue to have problems as adolescents and adults this is why it is good to cure ADD. Adults with ADD may be unusually impatient and restless and may become bored before finishing a task. They may constantly arrive late for appointments, lose things, change jobs frequently and fail to organize their time or set priorities. Adults with ADD may also have difficulty maintaining friendships and other relationships. Studies suggest they are more likely than others to develop other mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression, as well as substance abuse problems such as alcoholism and drug dependence.
